Do I need previous experience to join?
No. Every track starts at ground school with the basics of phraseology, airspace and procedures. Around 6 in 10 trainees arrive with no controlling or flying background.
How much does training cost?
Nothing. ATC24Academy is run by volunteer instructors, so all courses, exams and certifications are free for members of the ATC24 community.
How long does a rating take?
Most trainees clear their first controller rating in 3 to 5 weeks, based on one live session per week plus self study between sessions.
Which phraseologies do you teach?
ICAO-E, CAA, CASA and FAA. You pick one at enrolment and your written material, sessions and checkride all follow that standard.
Can I train as a pilot instead of a controller?
Yes. We run pilot, ground crew and military aviation tracks alongside air traffic control, each with its own curriculum and instructors.
What happens in a live training session?
You are paired with an instructor in live airspace for roughly 60 to 90 minutes, then receive written feedback in your dashboard within 48 hours.
What if I need to pause my training?
Request a leave of absence from your dashboard. Your progress, checklists and stage are held exactly where you left them.
Is my certification verifiable?
Every graduate gets a certificate with a unique ID that anyone can verify on our site or through the 24Wallet Discord bot.
